why casa matters
Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, stable, and loving environment. But for children in foster care, that basic right is too often replaced with uncertainty, fear, and instability. Frequent moves. Strangers making decisions. No one consistently showing up.
That’s where CASA of Solano County steps in.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) trains and supports everyday people to become powerful advocates for children who have experienced abuse and neglect. These volunteers are appointed by a judge to speak up for a child’s best interests at home, in school, and in court. More than just a mentor or support system, a CASA is often the one consistent adult in a child’s life during a time of overwhelming change.
Our Purpose
CASA of Solano County exists to ensure that every child in foster care is seen, heard, and not alone. Our mission is to recruit, train, and support compassionate volunteers who advocate for the safety, well-being, and rights of children navigating the dependency court system. We work alongside judges, attorneys, social workers, and caregivers but our focus is always the child.

Mission
CASA of Solano County speaks for the best interest of abused and neglected children and youth in the foster care system by training volunteers to advocate for their safety and well-being through the courts, in schools, and in our community.
Vision
A community where every child in foster care has a consistent adult advocating for their needs and future.
